Read plays, meet new people, have fun!
The Blaine Community Theater Play Reading Group is “BCT Lite”: once a month, the group meets up to read plays together and discuss them afterwards. The plays read may be considered for future BCT production, create exposure to overlooked plays and playwrights, share beloved works, or just to have a good time! It is a way for us to share the love of theater, get opinions of potential BCT productions, and reach out to the public and encourage their involvement.
We are preparing to re-launch the BCT Play Reading Group for spring/summer of 2023, and you can help! Fill out this form, including your name and preferred availability, and this will help us plot a schedule to resurrecting this fun and social activity!
As the meetings are hosted by group members at this time, space is limited, so to join the Play Reading Group, email us at blainecommunitytheater@gmail.com or reach out to us through the Contact page to join the Play Reading Group member list. As group meetings are planned, members on the list will be rotated through to give everyone a chance (or, potentially, we may hold extra meetings if enough members and hosts sign up). We will contact you to let you know that you’ve been added to the list and again when we have an opening in a reading event.
If interested, or you have any other questions, please contact us through the Contact page or at blainecommunitytheater@gmail.com
