Blaine Community Theater is pleased to announce that 2022 will be the inaugural year for our summer student theatre program, BCT Youth Spotlight!
BCT Youth Spotlight will be a six-week program over the summer where students from 6th to 12th grade will be taught and instructed to put together their own theatrical production, and perform it for friends, family, and the public as a whole at the end of the six weeks. Students will be guided on several aspects of producing a theatrical performance, including acting, directing, costuming, set construction, light and sound design, and stage and house management, with individualized opportunity to focus on their preferred disciplines.
BCT Youth Spotlight will take place from June 27th thru August 7th at Blaine High School’s Black Box Theater, in Blaine, WA. During the rehearsal stage, the program will run primarily from 10 AM to 4 PM. During the performance stage, students will be needed primarily from 6 PM to 11 PM. The BCT Youth Program has openings available for 40 students, and the schedule may be adjusted depending on student attendance. Tuition for BCT Youth Spotlight runs $150/student, with limited scholarship opportunities available.
