The October Annual is Coming!

But what is the October Annual?

By the bylaws of Blaine Community Theater, every October we are to hold an annual meeting to the public. This meeting has two purposes: first of all, we get to invite all of you lovely people to give your input and thoughts on the direction of the theater, field suggestions and thoughts, and just generally get to know each other.

Secondly, the October Annual is where we elect the Board of Directors for the coming year. The board is to consist of “no fewer than five but no more than seven” members, and the Board will be nominated and voted upon by the attendees of the October Annual. (It isn’t necessary that nominees be present at the meeting to be nominated, but they do have to be willing to serve on the Board of Directors if elected–no forcibly elected board members.) Once the board is elected, they will themselves elect who holds the offices of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer at the next board meeting.

The October Annual will be taking place October 3rd, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the Blaine Library Meeting Room. Hope to see you all there!
