We’re very excited to announce that Blaine Community Theater will be doing a production of ‘Miracle on 34th Street’ this year for the holidays! This production will be a ‘radio play’, and we will be using the script from the famous Lux Radio Theatre‘s original broadcast in 1947. Come ring in the holidays with us with this classic tale that will make you believe in magic once again.
‘Miracle on 34th Street’ will have two performances- 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM on December 18th, 2021. The show is taking place in Blaine Boating Center meeting room at 235 Marine Drive, Blaine, WA.
Blaine Community Theater is proud to present this holiday show as a ‘pay-what-you-can’ production, so there are no charges for the show. Donations will be accepted, but patrons are under no obligation to pay a ticket price for this event–our holiday gift to you!
COVID-19 Information: Under current Washington State protocol, as an indoor event we are required to ask all attendees to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. Blaine Community Theatre is committed to contributing to public health, and as such, though our actors will be maskless during the performance, all cast and crew for this show will be verified as vaccinated.
It’s that time again… time for the Annual Meeting!
The Annual Meeting is held every October by Blaine Community Theater for a number of reasons. First, its a way for the board to touch base with the other members of the theatre. Secondly, its a great way for theatre members to reconnect, introduce themselves, and just generally meet with one another. Finally, its the point each year where we designate members of the Board of Directors.
All theatre members are invited to the Annual Meeting to help select the board, discuss ideas, and get to know each other. But who qualifies as a member? As defined by the theatre’s by-laws, anyone who has worked on a BCT production or attended a meeting (including this one) is considered a member. (Yes, this means that if you attend the Annual Meeting, you are automatically a member!)
The October Annual Meeting is being held from 7:00 PM through 8:30 PM on October 21, 2021, in the Blaine Boating Center Meeting Room. The Meeting Room is at the Blaine Marina, near Gate 2, in the same building as the public bathrooms, across the street from Marine Park.
As this is a public event, under current state mandate attendees will be required to wear facemasks for this indoor meeting. We will review this policy if government recommendations change before the actual event date.
Blaine Community Theater (in association with Blaine-Birch Bay Parks & Rec) presents the summertime tradition: The Pirates of Penzance Water Balloon Show!
August 7th, 2021 in Blaine’s Marine Park, as a part of BBBPR’s Pirate Daze. Come watch a free performance of an abridged version of Gilbert & Sullivan’s “Pirates of Penzance”, and purchase some water balloons to toss AT the actors during the show! Show times are at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, and 1:15 PM.
